Course Overview
This course surveys the Poetical and Prophetical sections of the Bible. Five books are especially labeled as books of poetry: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. These books help us to address many of the life situations that we face every day such as suffering, loneliness, anger, sorrow, and stress.
The Prophets were spokesmen who represented God to man. Their job was to call the Jews to repentance from sin and lead them in obeying God’s law. Each book of prophecy is discussed and placed in its historical setting.
The author provides insights that will enable the student to appreciate these rich portions of God’s Word.
